Luxury Surfaces · Akrruthi Marble
Imported marble, selected slab by slab.
Marble, onyx and travertine from Italy, Greece, Turkey and Spain. Every stone under its true origin; every slab chosen by you.
What is imported marble, and how does origin change it?
Imported marble is quarried outside India and brought in as slabs. Origin matters: Greek and Turkish whites are bright and fine-grained, Spanish stones run to cream and deep brown, Italian marbles carry the most familiar names. Akrruthi sells every stone under its true origin, and says so when origin is still being confirmed.
The White Collection

Every stone under its true origin.
Many stones are sold in India under Italian-sounding names. Some are Italian; others come from Turkey, Greece, Spain and elsewhere. A name on an invoice proves nothing.
Akrruthi names each stone's origin where it is confirmed, and says "confirmed on enquiry" where it is not. Ask any dealer three things: the quarry region, whether you can see the full slabs before you pay, and whether the slabs delivered will be the ones you chose.

Questions about imported marble
Is imported marble better than Indian marble?
Not by default. It offers colours and veining Indian quarries do not, and it usually needs more care. Choose by the room, the look you want and how much maintenance you will do.
Why do some stones say 'Origin: confirmed on enquiry'?
Some trade names are used for stone from more than one country. Where we have not yet confirmed the source, we say so rather than guess. Ask us and we will tell you what the supplier documents show.
Does imported marble need sealing?
Most do. Seal on installation and then about once a year, wipe spills quickly and clean with a neutral cleaner. Each stone page lists its own maintenance.
